COVID19 Update 

In the current environment and concerns for customers regarding COVID-19, Cottage Linens would like to share some updates to our process.

Quality control and sanitation of linens is, always a top priority for Cottage Linens. This level of quality and detail has made us the premier linen rental service for 15 years. With that, we will be taking additional steps this upcoming season.

  • Cottage Linens launders all of the linens in our own commercial facility in Biddeford, ME. All of our washers and dryers are commercial Speed Queen products. Our machines are only used for the laundering of Cottage Linens products.

  • All of our linens are packaged as sets in sealed plastic to ensure quality and sanitation.

  • Linen carts are cleaned/sanitized before and after any and all use to protect the safety of our customers and employees.

  • Surfaces are constantly cleaned with sanitizing products.

FAQ's

1. Do I need to place a linen order in advance of arriving?


Yes. Linen rental orders should be submitted at least 1 week prior to arrival to guarantee availability. Orders placed within 1 week of arrival are subject to availability. We suggest that you place your order online with Cottage Linens when you confirm your cottage rental.

 

2. What is the best way to place an order?


We have made it easy for you to place your order. We recommend you place your order on our convenient and secure online ordering page.

3. What if I need to cancel a linen rental order?


You may cancel your linen rental order up to 1 week in advance and receive a full refund. However, for cancellations received within 1 week of your scheduled arrival, there is a $25.00 restocking fee.

 

4. Do you charge for delivery?

Cottage Linens offers complimentary delivery and pick up at the door of your rental cottage for orders over $50. For orders under $50 we offer delivery for a one-time $25 delivery fee.

Delivery will be made by 5 p.m. on your scheduled delivery date. Linen orders will be delivered to the front entrance, as seen by the roadway of the rental cottage address submitted to us.

 

5. Am I responsible for lost or damaged items?


Yes. Any linen not returned or damaged there is a fee that will be assessed to you as per the "Fee for lost or damaged items" schedule on the order form.

 

6. The cottage I am renting has a washer and dryer. May I keep the linens for additional weeks and launder them myself?


Yes. You may use the same linens for additional weeks at a reduced rental fee. We offer a 20% discount off the regular weekly rental fee for each additional week you keep the same linens.

 

7. Do I need to wash the linens before I leave them outside the cottage for pickup?


No. That is not necessary. Laundering is included in the cost of the linen rental. Simply gather everything together, check to be sure that all items are accounted for, place the used linen in the laundry bag provided, and leave them outside the front door of your rental cottage on Saturday morning by 10:00 a.m. for pick up.

 

8. If requested, will Cottage Linens make the beds before we arrive?


No. We do not have keys to the rental cottages, which is why your linen order will be left outside of the rental cottage. Linens must also be placed in the laundry bag provided and placed outside the cottage on Saturday morning by 10:00 a.m. for pick-up.

 

9. What can I expect for the quality and cleanliness of the linens provided?


Cottage Linens provides quality thread count sheet sets and fluffy towel sets. Our linens are commercially laundered in our own facility and sanitized to meet all health department standards.
